How It All Began
It began in 2017 with a simple idea — to build a home in the hills. Nestled in the green heart of Wayanad, Ichumma's Inn was conceived as a private weekend retreat and brought to life by Humming Tree Architects, Bangalore's award-winning design studio known for spaces that breathe with their surroundings.
What started as a personal escape soon became something more — guests arrived, fell in love with the privacy, the pool, the campfire under open skies, and the warmth of Kerala hospitality. Ichumma's Inn opened its doors as a full-house homestay, offering something rare: an entire home, reserved for one group at a time.
The vision then grew. On the same 5-acre estate, a second villa rose — Ichumma's Neo. Larger, more contemporary, and designed once again by Humming Tree Architects, Neo is a two-storey modern villa with its own private pool, terrace and a striking open-plan living space that brings the outdoors in.
Today, both villas share the same lush 5-acre estate — yet each is a complete, private world of its own. Two homes, one family, one estate. Whether you're a group of twelve or a gathering of twenty-five, Wayanad's most private retreat is yours.
